SANTA FE, NEW MEXICO
Working in Multiples: Diptychs, Triptychs & Grids

JUNE 22 - 26, 2025

In the “Land of Enchantment” known as New Mexico, the city of Santa Fe with its historical past and contemporary charm will fill your soul and delight your senses. Santa Fe has been described as “The City Different” with its unique blend of southwestern art and distinguished culture. For photographers, it’s a visual feast of color and light and a perfect place for working in multiples: diptychs, triptychs and grids!

Explore the creative possibilities of working in multiple images - not just to make a "collage" but to create a whole that conveys something more than the single parts. This workshop provides an introduction to creating images that incorporate more than one photo. We will cover the advantages and challenges of working in multiples and we will share examples so you can see what type of photo grid you might be inspired to create with your own work.

Using Adobe Lightroom, you will learn how to lay out diptychs and triptychs and then save the templates so you can use them again and again. Assignments will give you the opportunity to experiment with creating your own multiples and critiques will provide helpful feedback to strengthen your ability to work in this creative format.

Because we will be using Adobe Lightroom software to demonstrate creating multiples, participants must have an intermediate level understanding of how to work with their images in Lightroom. We’ll also jump into Photoshop to add text to our diptychs and triptychs.

If you’ve been wondering how to create multiples, looking for a way to expand your approach to photography, or wanting to take your current work in multiples to the next level, join us for a fun and creative workshop in one of America’s most unique cities!

* Please note that this workshop focuses on making diptychs, triptychs, and grids - it is not focused on creating multiple exposures.
